India Vs England : Dhoni become 12th player to notch 10,000 runs in ODI,England beaten India by 86 runs

That’s it folks, England have comprehensively beaten India to level the series in sublime fashion. Indian batting failed to live up to the billing as England beat India by 86 runs. Root was the star of the day as he slammed an unbeaten ton while Plunkett scalped four wickets for the home side.

Riding on an unbeaten 113 from Joe Root, England posted 322 for 7 against India at Lord’s in the second ODI. Slamming his 12th ODI ton and second against India, Root brilliantly anchored the England batting.

After winning the toss, skipper Eoin Morgan opted to bat first on a belter of a track. Openers Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy provided England with a solid start contributing 69 for the opening wicket.

Kuldeep Yadav provided India with their first breakthrough dismissing Jonny Bairstow for 38 in the 11th over. Jason Roy (40) followed Bairstow soon becoming Kuldeep’s second victim in his successive over.

Post the double blow, Joe Root and Eoin Morgan played watchfully and steadied the England ship. Both stitched a partnership of 103 runs before Kuldeep struck again dismissing dangerous-looking Eoin Morgan for 53.

After the skipper’s departure, England’s powerhouse middle order comprising Ben Stokes (5), Jos Buttler (4) and Moeen Ali (13) tumbled like a pack of cards but David Willey (50 off 31 balls) played a gem of a knock to help England get past 300-run mark, For India, chinaman Kuldeep Yadav was once again the highlight as he picked up 3 wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya and Umesh Yadav bagged one wicket .

first 2 wickets india lost in 10 overs ,Rohit sharma out on 49 runs and shikhar followed him in dressing room in next over ,kohli did a bit well but not enough to bring her team on winning level and after kohli, Suresh Raina bowled by adil rashid on 46 runs .

Hardik pandya and MS Dhoni struggled but failed to reach that level of score wall England build .

MS Dhoni may not have played the best of knocks today but he has become the 12th player in world to notch up 10,000 runs-fifth fastest player to complete 10,000 runs, earlier in the day dhoni had also bagged his 300th ODI catch.
